Lorraine LaCoursiere of Monticello, MN passed away at Willows Landing on April 2nd, 2023 at approximately 6:00 p.m.
Lorraine was born on February 17th, 1934 in Wylie, MN to Lawrence and Myrtle (Jorgensen) Best.
She was Valedictorian of her high school class and went on to nursing school. She left school to marry her high school sweetheart, Lawrence LaCoursiere, in July of 1952. Most of her working life was in the medical field. She raised three beautiful children and helped them whenever she could.
In retirement she was involved in ceramics and made many beautiful quilts. She loved their place at Paradise RV Resort in Sun City, AZ. And never really warmed up after moving back to Minnesota.
Lorraine is survived by her children: Ryan (Jodie) LaCoursiere, Michelle (Mark) Backlund, Todd (Brittany) LaCoursiere. Sisters: Joyce (Leo) McMahon, Carol (Ted) Smith, Sharon Blake and Audrey (Mike) Nash. Brother-in-law Charles LaCoursiere. 3 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Larry LaCoursiere, and her parents Lawrence Best and Myrtle Reiman.
Memorials May Be Made To: Alzheimer’s Assoc.
Neptune Society of Golden Valley, MN handled the arrangements.
A Celebration of the life for Lorraine LaCoursiere will be held in Oklee, MN later this year.
