Eunice Marie Nelson was born to Evelyn and Edwin Nelson on September 30, 1937, in Brooks, Minnesota. She was baptized on November 14, 1937 and confirmed on June 24, 1951, both at Immanuel Lutheran Church in McIntosh, MN.  Eunice was raised in Oklee, Minnesota, and graduated from Oklee Public School on May 23, 1957.  She graduated from the Secretarial Program at the Thief River Falls AVTI on June 5, 1981.
Eunice married Arlo Rolandson in 1957 and after a few years, moved to Warren, Minnesota where they raised 4 children. After their divorce, she moved briefly back to Oklee then to Thief River Falls, Minnesota where she remained.
Eunice was an Avon Representative for 25 years and had many loyal customers.  Friends and family knew they would always be getting the latest products for birthdays and Christmas.
Eunice was a very fun-loving, happy-go-lucky lady that everyone fell in love with.  During Halloween Eunice gave it her all – there wasn’t many years that went by without Mom creating a masterpiece costume out of things she had in her house!  Anytime going to her house you would always be treated to a homemade goodie of some sort and there was always music playing.
Eunice and her mom, Evelyn Nelson were two peas in a pod.  They did everything together from gardening, taking a drive, and going dancing.
Going to the lake in Texas every summer and spending time with her kids and grandkids there was a highlight of her year.  Eunice always had time to get together with her siblings and many cousins – they really had fun together and have always been a close group since they were kids.
Gardening was a passion of hers – whether it was vegetables or flowers she was always pulling weeds around them.  Eunice sewed quilts, painted pictures and objects, embroidered, and made any and all other arts and crafts.  Exhibiting her work at the county fair was a project she worked on all year.
Eunice leaves her loved ones with unforgettable memories and loving stories. She will be sincerely missed by her loving family and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her.
Eunice was preceded in death by her parents Evelyn and Edwin Nelson.
She is survived by daughters Rhonda Rolandson of Malakoff, Texas, Wanda (Petie) Rolandson of Malakoff, Texas, Mischelle Rolandson Escobar of Thief River Falls, Minnesota and son Russ Rolandson of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren Katie (Ryan) Benoit and Kyle Miller of Thief River Falls and Russell (Vivian) Rolandson of Anna, Texas and Amanda (Chris) Beaty of Princeton, Texas, and 9 great grandchildren.
