Javari Reeves Mendez-Gonzales

Javari Reeves Mendez-Gonzales, beloved son of Austin Mendez and Savanna Charette-Gonzales, passed away as the result of a tragic accident on Monday, August 31, 2026, at his home.
Javari came into the world just after noon on May 1, 2025, in Fargo, ND, weighing 7lbs 9oz. From the moment he arrived, he was deeply loved. He came home to Twin Valley, where he spent his days surrounded by a family who adored him and found so much joy in watching him grow. In his short 1 year, 3 months, and 30 days on earth, Javari gave his family more love, laughter, and memories than could ever be measured by time. He was a strong, sweet, big boy with a personality all his own. Strong-willed from the start, Javari had plenty of attitude and wasn't afraid to show it. He brought smiles with his expressions, his determination, and the little ways he was beginning to show everyone exactly who he was. Javari loved anything fast, especially the sound of fast cars, and was a big Lightning McQueen fan. A true mama’s boy, he loved his mama dearly and was happiest in her arms. Javari adored playing with his brother, Jalen, and watching the two of them together was a gift his family will forever carry in their hearts. Javari was treasured by his grandparents and surrounded by the love of his many aunties and uncles. He shared an especially sweet bond with his great-grandpa Roger. Javari became such an important part of so many lives. He was a son, a brother, a grandson, a great-grandson, a nephew, and a little boy who was loved beyond words.
Though his family would have given anything for more time, Javari's life will never be measured only by the number of days he was here. It will be measured by the love he gave and received, the laughter he brought into their home, the memories he created, and the countless ways he forever changed the hearts of those who loved him.
Javari was welcomed in the heavens with open arms by his grandma, Reva Lynn Beaulieu and great grandma Kathy Charette. He is deeply missed here by his parents: Austin and Savanna, his brother: Jalen; grandparents: Reuben and Roberta Mastin; great grandparents: Roger Charette and Lorraine Chaboyea; and his aunts and uncles: Tiyric, Mateo, Ayden, Jonah, Chelsey, Sadie, Tierra, Lovelyn, Gaberiel, and Sage.
Traditional Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 4, 2026 at the Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake, MN. The Wake ceremony will start at 5:00 PM on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at the Community Center.
