Funeral Servcices for Diane Lee Brunsberg
Diane Lee Brunsberg, 68, of Clearbrook, MN went home to be with her Savior on December 2, 2016, surrounded by her loved ones, in the comfort of her own home. She had fought a long and courageous battle against cancer.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Clearbrook, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Silver Creek Cemetery in Clearbrook, MN. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with the arrangements.
Diane was born on July 24, 1948 in Crookston, MN to Lewis and Donna Watne. She graduated from Gonvick, MN and attended Waldorf University in Forest City, Iowa. She married Bruce Brunsberg on June 26, 1971. Diane had multiple career choices, but ultimately became owner of B&H Hardware in Clearbrook, MN. After selling the hardware store, she went to work at Herbergers in Bemidji, MN where she quickly became a manager of one of her favorite departments, shoes.
Diane’s first love was, without question, her family. There was rarely a time that she would miss an opportunity to be with the ones that she loved. She would drop anything to spend time with them. Her grandkids brought out a special joy in her life that only they could. She loved people and anyone that had the opportunity to visit with her, left with a renewed energy. During her visits she was always ready to have another half of cup of coffee. Diane also had a true love and talent of decorating. She was able to add a unique touch to any picture, vase, or lamp. She also was able to accomplish and tackle anything from driving grain trucks as youngster to totally redoing a room.
Faith was always an important part of Diane’s life. As she grew older, her faith became a more personal journey. During recent years, she developed a deeper, more intimate relationship with her Savior.
Diane is survived by her husband Bruce; her children, Jeff (Suzy) Brunsberg and Kelly (Richard) Duffy; her grandchildren, Chloe, Jack, and Anna Brunsberg and Jordan, Charlie, Lewis, and Henry Duffy.
She is also survived by her mother, Donna Watne; her siblings, LaVonne (Paul) Brunsberg, Bonnie (Jim) Fischer, Carol Swanson, Gary (Debbie) Watne, Kathy (Don) DuCote, Les Watne, Bill Watne, Tory (Gretchen) Watne, and Jon Watne. She also has numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Diane was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Watne; her twin brother, Dean Watne; her brother, Dick Watne; her brother-in-law, Larry Swanson; her father-in-law, Clifford Brunsberg; her mother-in-law, Billie Brunsberg; and her sister-in-law, Julie Larson.
