Floyd Bergerson,

Floyd Bergerson, age 88, of Gully, MN, passed away on Tuesday, September 1st, at the home of his niece and nephew near Gonvick, MN. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8th, at the Gully Community Hall in Gully with Dawn Hanson officiating. Interment will be in Bethany Lutheran Cemetery, rural Gully. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the Gully Hall. Military honors will be provided by Gully American Legion Post #603, Gonvick American Legion Post #304 and the Army National Guard Honors Team. Floyd LeRoy Bergerson was born on December 15, 1937 to parents Bennie and Mabel (Sweno) Bergerson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a lifelong member of Bethany Lutheran Church, rural Gully.
Floyd attended country school and later Gonvick High School. In August 1961, Floyd entered the United States Army and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. After his honorable discharge in 1963 as a Specialist E4, he returned to the family farm where he farmed and raised beef cattle until his retirement.
Floyd enjoyed deer hunting, driving around the countryside and spending time at the local sales barns visiting with neighbors and friends.
In the spring of 2024, Floyd moved in with great-nephew Jason and his wife Christine and family of rural Gonvick.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Mabel, brothers, Kenneth, Melfred, Duane, Glenn and Melvin and sister Marlyce Kerr.
He is survived by 2 sisters, Corrine Bergerson and Delores Peterson and two sisters-in-law, Leona Bergerson and Crystal Bergerson. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Floyd will be greatly missed. Blessed be his memory.
