Death Notice for Renee Engstrom

Renee Engstrom, 65, of Moorhead, MN died on February 13, 2016 at Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead, MN. 

 

There will be no services held.  The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements. 

 

She was born April 25, 1950 in Crookston, MN the daughter of Raleigh and Ann (Rasmussen) Johnson. She was baptized at First Lutheran Church in Middle River, MN and confirmed at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Clearbrook, MN.  She graduated from Clearbrook High School in 1958 and attended Moorhead State University graduating in 1962 with a degree in Social Work.  Renee worked at St. Luke’s Hospital, Meritcare Hospital and Prairie St. John’s.  She married Dr. David Engstrom where they made their home in Fargo. They later divorced.  Renee loved cats and adopted all that she could.  She enjoyed going outside for walks. 

 

She is survived by her mom – Ann Wennberg of Moorhead, MN

Uncle – Donald (Meryl) Rasmussen of Baudette, MN

Cousin – Gary Prosser and Kevin Prosser both of Clearbrook, MN

Cousins – David Rasmussen, Heather Rasmussen and Scott Rasmussen

 

She was preceded in death by her dad; step-father – Edsel Wennberg; cousins – Ron Prosser, Dane Rasmussen and Jerel Johnson; Aunt Betty Prosser, Uncle – Donald Prosser; Maternal grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Ed Rasmussen and Paternal grandparents – Mr. & Mrs. Herb Johnson.
