David Klema

David Klema, age 79, of Trail, MN, passed away on Thursday, August 27th, at the Villa St. Vincent Nursing Home in Crookston, MN. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 3rd, at Sand Valley Lutheran Church in Trail with Dawn Hanson officiating. Interment will be in Sand Valley Lutheran Cemetery. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. David Ronald Klema was born on February 10, 1947, in Crookston, Minnesota to parents George and Mavis (Brenna) Klema.

David was united in marriage to Lois Samson on January 23, 1981, in Gully, Minnesota. After their marriage, they lived in Trail. David worked as an assembler at Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls for many years until his retirement. After retirement from Arctic Cat, he drove for Intercounty Community.

He was a member of Sand Valley Lutheran Church. David loved mowing lawn and fishing. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

David passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the Villa St. Vincent in Crookston after a long battle with cancer at the age of 79 years.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Lois, of Trail; sister, Kathy (Danny) Klasen of Oklee, MN; brother, Mike (Charlotte) of Bagley, MN; brothers-in-law, Larry (Renate) Samson of Gully, MN, and Ernie (Pam) Samson of Aitkin, MN; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
