Tressa Riggs
Tressa Riggs (67) of Bagley passed away on April 30th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and deep devotion to her family and friends. She was truly an amazing woman whose presence made a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Shevlin Village Cemetery in Shevlin, MN, with Pastor John Swanson officiating. The Cease Family Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements
Tressa was born in California and soon after moved to Oklahoma, where she spent much of her childhood. In 1974, she relocated to Bagley with her family. On August 14th,1976, she married the love of her life, Larry Riggs, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love and commitment that would have been 50 years strong this August. She graduated from Bagley High School in 1977.
Tressa had a passion for simple, meaningful living. She found joy in gardening and canning, taking pride in nurturing what she grew and sharing it with those around her. She also loved camping, especially at Lake of the Woods, where she created many special memories with family.
Above all, Tressa loved her family dearly. She had a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews, loving them deeply and cherishing the time she spent with them. Her family was the center of her world, and she devoted her life to supporting, encouraging, and caring for them.
She was known for her close relationships with her neighbors and her ability to make everyone feel special. Whether through a kind word, a thoughtful gesture, or simply her presence, Tressa had a gift for bringing comfort and happiness to others.
Tressa will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Brother-in-law Dennis (Sheryl) Riggs of Shevlin, MN, and James Riggs of Bagley, MN. Stepbrothers Ralph (Jeanette) Gray of OK, Mark Gray of OK, stepsisters Kelly Gray of OK, Sue Ellen (David) Thurber of OK, ex-brother-in-law Allan Horsley of Bagley, MN, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by: Sisters Dianne Glasco, Carolyn Jones, Billie Braaten, stepfathers Kenneth Gray and Bill Jones. Mother and father-in-law Harlan and Eva Riggs, brother-in-law James Choc and Ross Braaten, sister-in-law Vergie Titone, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
