TWINS REASSIGN TWO TO MINOR LEAGUE CAMP
FORT MYERS, FL – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have reassigned right-handed pitchers Matt Canterino and Cory Lewis to minor league camp.
The Twins now have 64 active players in camp (24 non-roster): 31 pitchers (11 non-roster), eight catchers (5 non-roster), 11 infielders (5 non-roster), 11 outfielders (3 non-roster) and three utility players (0 non-roster).
TWINS CLAIM ZAK KENT OFF WAIVERS FROM ST. LOUIS
Pablo López placed on 60-day Injured List
FORT MYERS, FL – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have claimed right-handed pitcher Zak Kent off waivers from the St. Louis Cardinals.
Kent, 28, made his major league debut for Cleveland on April 23, 2025 and went 1-0 with a 4.58 ERA (17.2 IP, 9 ER), eight walks and 16 strikeouts in 12 relief appearances for the Guardians last season. The Henrico, VA native was originally selected by Texas in the ninth round of the 2019 First-Year Player Draft out of Virginia Military Institute.
To make room on the 40-man roster, the Twins have placed right-handed pitcher Pablo López on the 60-day Injured List. López underwent Tommy John surgery yesterday and is out for the 2026 season.
