Garfield Lake Ice Races 2-8-2026

The Garfield Lake Ice Racing Club was back on track on a beautiful Sunday afternoon with temperatures hovering the upper 20's and low 30's a huge relief from the frigid temps of the past few weeks.  23 ice racers were on hand to race in the A Main and Youth divisions.

Racing begins at noon each Sunday on Garfield Lake 1/4 mile south of Laporte with two complete sets of races held each Sunday.   Big winners on Sunday were Sawyer Nicholson in the Youth division with one feature win and two heat wins.  In the A Main division Jake Geshwill also won one feature and two heat races.  Also picking up feature wins were Ross Hadrava in the youth division and Nate Zanter in the A Main class.
