Services for Larry Senger
Larry Anthony Senger, 62, died on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at his home in Bemidji, MN.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fosston, MN with a visitation one hour prior at the church. A visitation will also be held on Sunday, September 6 at the Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel in Bagley, MN from 4:00-6:00. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Fosston, MN. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with the arrangements.
He was born in Fosston, Minnesota, the son of Wendelin and Catherine (Schiele) Senger.
He was baptized and confirmed in the catholic faith in Fosston, MN. He attended the Gully School through 8th grade, graduated from Fosston High School in 1971, and then attended college. He went on to work for a lawn irrigation contractor, Ron Steile, in Georgia. Larry returned to Minnesota and began to work for Don Bolme farming. An accident in May of 1977 prevented him from continuing to farm at that time. Later, Larry moved to Park Rapids, MN and bought an office supply and photo developing business which he operated through 1994. In 1995, he purchased a home and farmland near Gonvick, and was finally able to follow his dream of farming. Later, he sold the farm site and built his dream home in Bemidji in 2011. Larry enjoyed hunting and antiques. He was very proud of his lawn and garden.
He is survived by his mother, Catherine (Schiele) Senger; his siblings, Duane (Mary) Senger), Bob (Joan) Senger, Jeanie (Larry) Sorenson, and Doreen Brovold; his nieces and nephews; and his good friend, Marilyn Sundrud.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wendelin Senger; his nephew, Ross Senger, and his brother-in-law, Gay Brovold.
