Celebrate and appreciate in Winger this weekend

Make plans this weekend to make your way to Winger.
Starting on Friday evening, bring your dancing shoes as the new Liquor Pigs will host The Johnny Holm Band for a street dance starting at 9:00 pm.
Then on Saturday plan to attend the first annual Winger Appreciation Day. Starting with an Antique Tractor Show and Farmer’s/Flea Market and Craft Show that will begin at noon. There will be vendors set up around town. Then starting at around 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm there will be a classic car show. You can stop and look at amazing cars.
The Winger Lions will be hosting their famous fish fry at the Winger Community Center from 5:00 pm until 7:30 pm. The menu includes all the fish you can eat, potato salad, baked beans and a beverage.
You can also bring your used eyeglasses and hearing aids to drop off and support the Lions Club International’s campaign to bring glasses and hearing aids to those in need.
This year marks the 100th Anniversary of the Winger Fire Department and they are celebrating with a Fireman’s Ball from 8:00pm until midnight at the Winger Community Center.
There will also be an Open House at the Fire Department during the Appreciation Day festivities, so make sure to stop in and see the equipment and pick up some stuff for the kids!
