Senior High Regional Knowledge Bowl Competition

One of Red Lake County Central Senior High Knowledge Bowl teams competed in the Regional Senior High Knowledge Bowl Competition in Thief River Falls on March 13th. RLCC placed 17th. The top four teams advanced to State which is scheduled for April 10 and 11. The four teams that advanced were Crookston, Bemidji, Warroad and Fosston.
Senior High Knowledge is a competition in which teams of five compete in a series of rounds answering questions in all areas of learning and the teams have to work together to find the answer.
The RLCC team that went to regionals consisted of five seniors: Andrew Fish, Marie Johnson, Connor Lambert, Dawson Rystad and Phillip Sorenson. There were many other members on RLCC’s teams which competed at various meets including Julia Bernstein, Sydnie Gunderson, Daphney Koralewski, Zach Benson, Calyssa Eskeli, Lilian Guillemette, Jayden Iverson, Sophia Linder, Chris Longtin, Sidney Olson, Derek Peterson, Kia Bachand, Tristyn Ferguson, Danny Guillemette, Emily Kolstoe, Karena Melby, Brody Moen, Janae Olson, and Elijah Rathsack. The Knowledge Bowl students were coached by Mr. Bryan Paskvan.
