26 students perform in Vocal Ensembles

On Wednesday, March 13th, 26 students from Red Lake County Central High School went to East Grand Forks High School to perform for a judge and get scored on songs each ensemble group chose. There were four groups that sang from RLCC with students from 9th-11th grade. All participants will receive certificates and Superior ratings will receive medals.
Singing “Till the Stars Fall from the Sky” with a Superior rating of 36, was Adrianne Jones (11th) and Abby Walton (11th). Another Superior rating of 36 was “California Dreamin’” sang by Bailey Culkins (10th), Katelyn Suchy (10th), Isabella Russillo (10th), Cari Bachand (9th), Janae Olson (10th), Taya Morinville (9th), Karena Melby (10th), Emily Kolstoe (10th), Brock Tvedt (10th), Adriel Bakken (10th), Brody Moen (10th), and Kia Bachand (10th). Receiving an Excellent score of 28 was “You are the Music in Me” sang by Freshmen Lilly Hanson, Maddi Inda-Valdez, Izzy Plante, Leilah VanDam, and Shyla Styles. Also receiving an Excellent score of 29 was “A Million Dreams” sang by Freshmen Kjerstin Nelson, Lauren Jones, Bailey Sherman, Marissa Shiebe, Thomas Benson, Peyton Fish, and Tyler Eskeli.
Mrs. Patty Mickelson is the RLCC Choir director and the ensemble groups were accompanied by Mrs. Peggy Miller.
