Services for Emma Marthea Satran

Emma Marthea Satran, 97, of Clearbrook, MN, died on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Cornerstone Nursing and Rehabilitation in Bagley, MN.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 18th at 2:00 p.m. at Elim Lutheran Brethren Church in Clearbrook, MN. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Elim Lutheran Brethren Cemetery in Clearbrook, MN. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.
She was born on March 19, 1920 in Pine Lake Township, Minnesota to Ole and Florence (Johnson)Haugen. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith and graduated from Fosston High School. She was united in marriage to Albert Satran on July 21, 1944 in Bagley, MN. They enjoyed over 67 years together until Albert passed away in 2012.
Albert and Emma lived on Century Farm for 65 years. They moved to Cornerstone Assisted Living in Bagley and after Albert’s passing, Emma continued to live there until moving to Good Samaritan Center in Clearbrook. She resided there until her final move to Cornerstone Nursing Home in Bagley this October.
She was a member of Elim Lutheran Brethren Church and Mission Friends.
Emma loved all the quality time spent with her 3 daughters and their families. She enjoyed the beautiful farm life and all the visitors who would stop frequently to the wonderful kitchen and share her exquisite baked goodies and meals. She was a great seamstress, quilter, gardener, and her greenhouse provided beautiful flowers for everyone. She was especially proud of winning the Lefse cookoff in Barnsville. She exhibited her specialties at the Clearwater County Fair and Her goodies were sought after at various craft shows. Emma and Albert enjoyed visiting with everyone and cherished the beautiful memories of their trips to Norway.
She is survived by her children, Lynette (Mervin) Bakke of Gonvick, Lois (Loren) Chesley of Clearbrook, and Ardy (Skip) Quistgard of Bemidji. her grandchildren, Cheryl (Tom) Stenzel, Brian (Jenny) Bakke, Colleen (Mike) Knoop, Lisa Jaeger, Amy Chesley, Kevin (Kelsie) Chesley, Heather Chesley, Angie (Tim) Waldner, Andrea Hendrickson, and Caitlan Hendrickson; her great grandchildren, Madison and Danaé Stenzel, Tristan and
Damen Bakke, Will and Hanna Knoop, Patrick Lewis, Samantha (Brandon) Everitt, Morgan and Danika Jaeger, Jaden and Nicole Chesley, Cali Chesley, Michala Waldner (Brad H.), and Amber and Tiffany Waldner; her great great grandchildren, Colton Everitt and Alexis H.; and brother Leif (Dee Dee) Haugen. Also by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Satran; her parents, Ole and Florence Haugen; a grandson, Jesse Hendrickson; her siblings, Arthur Haugen, Orville Haugen, Doris Larson, and Dorothy Lindgren.
