Renovations complete at Cornerstone Nursing & Rehab Center in Bagley

Cornerstone Nursing & Rehab Center has now completed their renovation of their facility in Bagley. They held an Open House to let people see what they have done with the Therapy Addition, Memory Care Addition and the new furnishing. Refreshments, door prizes and a chance to greet the residents and staff was held on Thursday, December 8.

Cornerstone Nursing & Rehab Center in Bagley is one of four units owned by the same Board of Directors. The other three are Cornerstone Residence of Kelliher, Cornerstone Residence of Fosston and Cornerstone Residence of Bagley. 

The Cornerstone Nursing & Rehab Center opened their Rehab Department in February of 2015, their Memory Care unit in May of this year and in October they finished their renovations of the facility next to the Golf Course in Bagley. This unit has the capability for 43 residents living in a single room with private bath.

Last Thursday Allen Potvin owner of Cornerstone Nursing & Rehab and representatives from Miller Architects & Building from St. Cloud and Terry Matson from Security State Bank in Bemidji were there for the Open House that was held. Dave Tebrake and Andrew Goulet are part of the St. Cloud Company that has been in business for more than five generations. They do everything from start to finish including development, architectural and construction services.

The Board of Directors had done a needs assessment  in Clearwater County in 2008 to determine if an Assisted Living Community was needed to meet the needs of Clearwater County. In addition to providing Skilled Nursing and Rehab, the Board saw there was a need to expand their services to include Assisted living. In 2009, a 37 apartment assisted Living Community building was built along Highway 2 to provide health related and support services to the Cornerstone Resident of Bagley.
