Theresa (Agnes) Walsh, age 54, of Fosston, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 25th, at her home. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6th, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fosston with Father JohnMelkies Suvakeen presiding. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Fosston. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Theresa Marie Agnes was born on December 3, 1971, in Fosston, Minnesota, the beloved daughter of Ernest, Sr. and Susan (Naastad) Agnes. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and attended Fosston Public Schools, graduating in 1990. She pursued further education at Northwest Technical College in Bemidji, earning a degree in Administrative Assistance. Her professional life was dedicated to working at the Fosston REM for many years, where her dedication and compassion touched the lives of many.
She was known for her avid baking skills, had a profound love for animals and cherished spending time with her “Besties”. She never missed a birthday or holiday, using these occasions to make others feel special with her thoughtful cards and gestures. She was always there for anyone to lend a helping hand. She never said “no”. Theresa’s kindness and welcoming nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met, and she never let anyone forget how special they were.
Her family fondly recalls her favorite saying “oh good grief,” which encapsulated her humor and down-to-earth perspective on life. Theresa’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Theresa, a cherished daughter, sister, aunt and friend, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, September 25, 2026, leaving a deep void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her father, Ernest Agnes, Sr. of Fosston, MN; six siblings, Cathie (Tom) Lofstrand of Salol, MN, Ernie Agnes (Peggy Maleckar) of Fosston, Matt Agnes of Fosston, Chris (LeAnn) Agnes of Bagley, MN, Sarah (Lonii) Agnes of Fosston, and Aimee (Margie) Agnes of McIntosh, MN; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Also, her “Besties”, Ashlynn, Brooklyn, Myles, Kamron, Jace, and Maci. They will forever cherish the many special moments shared with Theresa.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Susan; her grandparents; and many aunts and uncles.
