Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Clearwater Cemetery, Wyandotte Township, Pennington County, MN.

Linda Lou Carolyn Iverson was born September 16, 1941, to Bertel and Luvina (Cook) Iverson at Mercy Hospital in Thief River Falls, MN. She grew up on a farm northeast of Plummer, MN and attended Polar Glen School, District 125 in Wyandotte Township, Pennington County and high school in Plummer.

She was baptized and confirmed and was united in marriage to Elmer Kolseth on September 26, 1959, at Clearwater Lutheran Church near Plummer. They made their home in Chicago, IL for a short time working at J.C. Penny, returning to the Kolseth Family Farm rural Plummer that included small grains, hay and beef cattle.

In June of 1986 they purchased the grocery in Oklee, MN and named it Dale’s Grocery which they owned and operated for two years.

She liked the country life, raising their family on the farm. Blessed with four children, Janice, Dale, Brenda and Melissa, she was always busy. Linda enjoyed the simple things in life mainly the outdoors, riding 4-wheeler, field work, driving tractor, morning gator rides, and afternoon pick-up drives. She was always working in her yard planting flowers, gardening or planting “just one more tree”. During the winter months she always started seedlings in preparation for her garden.

She also found great joy in feeding the birds, listening to country music, quilting, dancing, and was excellent at baking & cooking. She loved to sew; she made her own wedding dress on the old treadle sewing machine and made many alterations for her family through the years. In her younger years she liked to do wood crafts and enjoyed buying and restoring antique furniture. Elmer and Linda had an antique auction sale in 1991.

If her family needed help, advice or anything, Linda was always home until Elmer passed away, and then you had to go find her working in the field.

One of her greatest joys was spending time with family and friends, surrounded by 8 amazing grandchildren, a love for her 6 great-grandkids, and her border collie dogs, Poppen and Daisy.

Survivors include her children Janice (Bob) Johanning, Dale (Carol) Kolseth, Brenda (Randy) Brekkestran, Melissa (Duane) Parsley all of Plummer, MN; grandchildren, Ashley (Chris) Hamm, Nicole (Jacob) Kruchowski, Lisa (Cory) Schmitz, Josh Brekkestran, Natalie Brekkestran, Gus (Ashley) Bruggeman, Max (Bianca) Parsley, Sam (Kamryn) Parsley; great-grandchildren, Logan & Tucker Kruchowski, Eli, Jonah, Jude & Hazel Bruggeman, and Jaxon; and many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer in 2004 and her parents.
