Shari A. Lind

Shari A. Lind, age 60, of Grand Rapids, MN passed away peacefully Sunday, August 9, 2026 at Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
Shari Ann Lind, the beloved daughter of Delores M. (Sannes) and Robert F. Lind was born, September 28, 1965 in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in East Grand Forks, Minnesota and later became a Sunday School teacher. Attending schools in East Grand Forks, Shari was active in Girl Scouting, Job’s Daughters and participated in sports including figure skating. During her Senior year of high school, she became a certified nursing assistant creating a unique school schedule with half of each day working as a CNA at the hospital.
In 1983, she began her post-secondary education earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics from the University of Minnesota and was on the National Dean’s List. Her education continued as she earned an Associate’s Degree in Nutrition and earned her Master’s in Nursing Education with a GPA of 4.0 at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. Her strong medical knowledge allowed her to work at many hospitals including Carondelet Foothills Surgical Center, Carondelet Heart & Vascular Institute, Sonora Behavioral Health and Northwest Medical Center all in the Tucson, AZ. Shari was a mentor for nursing students at Western Governor’s University for several years.
She was selected to receive many accolades including Top Nurse in Tucson, AZ by the International Nurses Association, induction into Western Governors University Honor Society of Nursing in 2015, member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, honored VIP member in Biltmore Who’s Who, an active member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, and the American Board of Cardiovascular Medical Institute receiving the elite title, Shari A. Lind, RN, MSN-Ed, CVRN.
Shari had spent over 20 years in the nursing profession – the profession that she loved when she suffered a severe paralyzing stroke which ended her nursing career. Needing to be close to her family, Shari moved from Tucson, Arizona to northern Minnesota to live until God called her home on August 9, 2026.
She will be deeply missed by her mother, Delores M. Lind; brother, Gary R. Lind and his wife, Barbara King Jacobson; nieces and nephews, Joshua D. Lind and wife, Darcy Anderson, Jamie Lind Stripe and fiancé, Justin Venners, Keely M. Lind and husband, Jeremy Walgrave, and Tanner J. Lind and wife, Ashley Ourada; great nieces and nephews, Colin Cogswell, Mason Lind, Emily Stripe, Elizabeth Stripe, Harrison Lind, and Jude Lind; as well as step-niece, Angela Jacobson and step-nephew, Eric Jacobson and wife, Heather; step great niece, Jasmine Jacobson; other relatives; medical colleagues; and friends.
Shari is preceded in death by her father, Robert F. Lind; brother, Roger D. Lind; and her grandparents, Grundy and Ella Sannes and Fred and Estelle Lind.
Shari’s life will be honored at a Family Graveside service at Our Savior’s Lutheran Cemetery in McIntosh, Minnesota.
