More Tractor Show Fun
Last weekend my wife and I headed to Menahga to visit our son Heath and his family and of course attend the Red Eye Tractor Club Show. The show is held at Olson Ag service near Sebeka. It is a show we have attended for the last three years. This being the third annual show!I Last year I asked my 4 year old grandson, Callan,(who loves tractors), ”Which tractor should grandpa bring?” He responded, “Bring the G!” So that is what I did. This year I brought the 50.
One of the fun parts of bringing my tractor loving grandkids (Lola loves them too) to the show is they have a pedal pull. Last year Cal entered in the 4-year-old class, and placed third, it was fun! His sister could enter for the fun 3-year-old exhibition division. This year they graduated to the 4- and 5-year-old divisions. Lola gave it a good pull and Cal managed to get 3rd place in the 5-year-old division.
The next morning featured a tractor drive to Sebeka through the countryside. Unfortunately, it was raining so we decided not to attend the ride (which was postponed for a couple hours.)
There was more: a hay bale throw, a slow tractor ride, a gravity box basketball shoot, and simply visiting with some other tractor guys! Tractor shows are sure fun, especially with the family around. We’ll be back next year!
