MHAC has busy start to new year

McIntosh Heritage and Arts Center has had a busy beginning to 2017. There is now more focus on research and genealogy, which is the mission of McIntosh Heritage and Arts Center.
Several genealogy seeking families have stopped by to look through MHAC’s vast years of McIntosh Times newspapers and other information that has been collected by the group. Nothing is more satisfying for the Heritage Center when there is a shout of excitement from the research room because someone has found their great-grandfather’s (or any other family members) obituary.
Some come with bags of photos, family sheets and records, hoping to add to their long lost relatives. Some do find things, and some don’t, but the search is forever continuing.
The work continues to get important information from our newspaper collection into scrapbooks, so the search will be easier for those looking for information.
