Jerry Wraa, 70, of Leonard, served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam as a combat engineer from 1968 to 1969. He is chaplain of Bemidji VFW Post 1260 as well as for Clearbrook American Legion Post 256. His involvement and dedication to veterans’ causes found him leaping from an airplane for the first time in his life. The sequence of Jerry Wraa’s skydive event is captured in these photos. First: heading upward in the airplane. Former Army Ranger Kasey Matejcek is giving the thumbs up signal.
