Garfield Lake Ice Racers welcome new winners to Victory celebration

Bright and sunny skies but cool temps greeted the ice racers to the track on Garfield Lake in Laporte for week seven of the ice racing season.   The club plans to hold one more race on the lake next Sunday March 8th with the noon starting time.

First time winners highlighted the races on Sunday with Quintyn Karl winning both heat races and the 2nd set feature race.  In the A Main division it was Ben Buck winning one heat and both features.

  Dillon McGee won the first set Youth class Feature.   Bob Pawlitschek took the checkered flag in the first and second set heat races in the A Main class.

In the First ever "Sunday Fun Day" race open to all non regular drivers, Lilly Knute was the winner, followed by Dallas Paulson, EmilyHegg, Kaylie Winge and Tim Anderson.
