Celebration for Sheriff Erdman as she retires from dept. on January 2nd

Polk County Sheriff Barb Erdman will retire from the helm of the Sheriff's Department after serving the residents of Polk County for 31 years. 
There will be a celebration of Barb's retirement held on Friday, January 4th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Polk County Sheriff's Office Community Room, 400 Bruce Street in Crookston.
Everyone is welcome to join the celebration and wish Barb well. 
The new Sheriff of Polk County is Jim Tadman, and he will assume his duties as Sheriff following the retirement of Erdman.
In Winger, the mayor seat will remain with Darrel Olson and the Council seats will remain the same, as Dan Kindal and Deb Matson were re-elected to their positions.
McIntosh will also keep Mayor Toby Strom who will continue to serve the City for the next two years.
Bernie Marshall was re-elected to his City Council position that he was appointed to  a year ago to fill a vacancy left when Steve Urness moved from town.
The open seat on the Council will be filled by Jordan Gunafson who was a write in candidate winner.
The first Council meeting in McIntosh for the 2019 year will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 5:30 pm at the McIntosh Community Center.
