Burslie Reunion honors Ellen on her birthday________________

They came from as far away as Korea and Dubai to celebrate the 4th of July weekend and the 89th birthday of Ellen Burslie in McIntosh. Dan and Mary Schow hosted the long weekend at their beautiful lake home; the farmstead of Joe & Edella Hedman. Chris Burslie and his new bride, Cherry (Chase & Haley) came from Korea. Cheri and Dunia Alhegelan made the trip from Dubai.
The weekend began Friday evening when the family went to watch the Schow Brothers Motor Sports race in Grand Forks. Matt Schow won his feature race giving the family lots to cheer about!
On Saturday morning the ladies attended the craft show in Maple Lake. Many treasures were brought home. In the evening young and old enjoyed music by DJ Jason Svalen.
A beautiful Sunday morning began with a church service led by Craig & Rosann Burslie followed by a catered meal by Jareds in McIntosh and birthday cake to celebrate Ellen’s Birthday.
Other highlights of the weekend included: 4 wheeling, Canoeing, Bingo, Scrabble, Swimming and a Coloring contest. Dunai went fishing for the first time and even caught one! She can hardly wait to tell her Daddy about it.
Special guests at the reunion were 2 month old twins, Grayson & Gunner Grettum, sons of Chris & Kristi Grettum.
Fun was had by all and plans are being made for a 90th birthday celebration next year….same time, same place!
