12-year-old student, now a Published Author!

For so many of us when the pandemic hit last spring we did not know what to do with ourselves while stuck at home, but that was not a problem for 12-year-old McKenna Bjerk of Mahnomen, MN who used this time last spring to write a book and is now a published author.  

McKenna's 187 page chapter book is a pirate adventure called "Black Sails: Secrets of the Seas" was published December 17, 2020 and can be found on Amazon. Along with writing the book, McKenna also did all of her illustrations, created a quiz for Accelerated Reader schools, and is now working on a sequel.  Congratulations and good luck on your next book!
