“Team Alayna” for thyroid cancer awareness

In recent months the world has changed for Win-E-Mac student Alayna Espeseth. She was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. An active young lady, her teammates, classmates and community have rallied together to support her with her battle.
Recently there was a benefit pancake breakfast for her and her brother Garrett, who is also having health issues, at the Winger Community Center, hosted by the Winger Lions Club.
A passion of Alayna’s is volleyball, so another fundraiser has been set up by Win-E-Mac volleyball coach Lynette Kaster and Larry “Woody” Woodbridge, founder of FUN-damental Volleyball Camps on Sunday, August 16, 2015.
On August 16th, there will be a FUN-damental Volleyball Camp at Win-E-Mac School at noon for grade school through high school kids.
All the proceeds from the camp will go to the Espeseth family to cover medical expenses. The cost for the camp is $20 for grade school students and $40 for any student grade 7 and up. There will be forms available at the camp on the day, or you can stop at the McIntosh Times office to pick one up as well.
If you would like to make a donation to the Espeseth family, please make checks payable to the Winger Lions and drop off at Ultima Bank Minnesota locations.
