Minnesota voters are deciding this fall whether schools should get more money from a state trust fund.  The constitutional amendment would increase payouts from the Permanent School Fund.  The fund was established in 1858 with proceeds from the sale of timber and minerals.  Supporters say the change could give districts more flexible funding without raising taxes.  Advocates are trying to raise awareness of the amendment because ballots with the question left blank will be counted as no votes against the proposal.

Shop local. Eat fresh! Market on Main Street, Clearbrook (MOMS) is the new name for Bakken’s Grocery as part of their rebranding. In addition to the name change, they are renovating the store’s interior and updating features to enhance your shopping experience at this long-time community staple. You can expect fresh produce, quality meat, and more as they invest in the store. Look for professionally smoked meats to be available in the near future. Their goal is to make it convenient and easy for shoppers to find what they need for tonight’s dinner. The rebranding and refresh—including the new name, updated signage, and renovated store environment—ensure that Market on Main Street, Clearbrook remains a trusted neighborhood grocery destination with a look to the future. They will be having a grand reopening this summer
