Gretchen Nordlund went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 10 due to complications from cystic fibrosis. Gretchen had been diagnosed with CF when she was 2 years old and not expected to live past the age of twelve, however God had a better plan for her. In her 32 years of life, she came to know the love of Jesus and His saving power in her life. This love compelled her to go to several nations and throughout the US sharing the story of Christ to those He brought her to. While working with CTI Music Ministries, Gretchen and Nolan met and the two were married May 4, 2013 in Paradise, MT. Gretchen earned her masters degree in counseling from Regent University in Virginia in May 2014 and was in the process of developing more ways to impact the lives of people using her degree. Gretchen’s heart beat to glorify God and with that purpose in mind, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Evangelical Free Church, 211 Arnold Ave N, Thief River Falls, MN on Saturday, April 18th at 11:00 am.
Gretchen is survived by her husband, Nolan; mother Laurie Ehret and sisters, Marissa, Hannah, Emma and Abby as well as Nolan’s family; Gary, Stacy, Nathan, Raya and Ahna Nordlund and a vast family of brothers and sisters in Christ.
