Girls 4x100 Meter Relay Sets New Team and Sub-section Record

A Red Lake County Rebels 4x100 Meter relay team record set in 2000 has been broken this year. The previous record was held by Megan Gunderson, Lindsay Vettleson, Michelle Halvorson, and Heather Schiefert with a time of 53.04. The new record is now held by AJ Jones, Julia Bernstein, MaKenzie Williams, and Zoe Russillo with a time of 51.62. This new record was set at the Sub-Section 31 Track Meet Thursday, May 25th. This was also a new Sub-section 31 record!
In fact, this group of four relay members broke the team record earlier this year when they ran the 4x100 Metter Relay in 52.77 on Friday, April 21st at Mahnomen. Then they broke their own record at the Mahnomen/Waubun Invite on Thursday, May 4th with a time of 52.58. Once again they broke their own record at the Ada-Borup/NCW Invite Meet Thursday, May 18th with a time of 52.23.
Congratulations to the relay team for setting a new Rebel track team record and Sub-section 31 record.
