…and that’s a wrap for Charger’s Football

“Playoffs are a different dynamic and a lack of varsity experience showed early on,” said John Wilebski, Head Coach for the GG Charger’s Football team. He’s referencing the game that was held in East Grand Forks last week on Tuesday, October 22nd, when the Chargers had a rematch with Stephen/Argyle Storm. The game put an end to the Charger’s Football season with a final score of 35-0.
Wilebski went on to say, “The Storm came out with something to prove and jumped out early on with a couple of big TD runs by Dawson Feuillerat with 51 and 55 yards in the first quarter. I felt our inexperience in these type of games showed some lack of mental discipline, which caused things to snowball, letting the game get away from us.”

“On a positive, we had a good season coming back from all the adversity losing key players in the lineup throughout the season. Our coaching staff is so proud of our 2019 Charger football team and their effort this year. With that, hopefully we learn from these types of games and experiencing these growing pains we can compete at the next level in the 2020 football campaign. Thank you to Goodridge and Grygla Schools, parents and fans for all the support this year,” Wilebski concluded.
