Thomas Acree, 59, of Gonvick, Minnesota died on December 27, 2024, at his home in Gonvick.
As per the family’s wishes, no services will be held.
The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.
Tom was born on March 6, 1965, the son of Charles & Judith (Ball) Acree. He grew up in Nevada and received his GED.
Tom helped his brother with his Repo business and was also a stunt man in Nevada. He was a limo driver in Nevada and even drove Michael J. Fox around, as well as many other celebrities.
He worked many odd jobs in his life including working at Polaris, Central Boiler and Arctic Cat. His last job was working in Menards in Bemidji in the flooring department.
Tom loved motorcycles, cars, and watching Family Guy and the Simpson’s
He enjoyed going to the races in Greenbush and Roseau and was in several Demolition Derby’s with his brother-in-law.
Tom was a man of few words until you got to know him. He was a hard worker and a good guy.
Tom appreciated the outdoors, especially fishing, ice fishing and camping.
One of Tom’s favorite pass times was playing cards. His daughter, Courtney, taught him cribbage and he taught her Chess. He was very proud of his daughter. She was his lifeline, and it was because of her that Tom remained living in Minnesota. She was the apple of his eye and the light in his life. He loved her very much.
Tom lived several places in his life, such as Nevada, Roseau, Badger, Greenbush, Bagley and finally settling in Gonvick, Minnesota
Tom is survived by his daughter – Courtney Acree of Duluth, Minnesota
Dad – Charles Acree of Arizona
Brother – Curtis Sullivan of Nevada
Sister – Marie Hanson of Roseau, Minnesota
Sister – Melanie Boutain of Roseau, Minnesota
Sister – Nanette Duncan of Nevada
Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins
Tom is preceded in death by his mother – Judith Acree and his sister – Sammy Acree
