Plummer American Legion Auxiliary Member Honored

On November 13, 2024, the American Legion Auxiliary in Plummer celebrated a truly remarkable milestone:  the 105th anniversary of the American Legion Auxiliary. The organization, founded in 1919, has stood as a beacon of service, patriotism and commitment to veterans and their families.  Its legacy, its impact and the spirit of service was celebrated with cake and ice cream.
While the history of the Auxiliary is filled with countless women whose dedication has shaped the organization, the local chapter honored someone truly special. The surviving charter member, Bunny Duchamp, who along with 33 other women formed the Plummer American Legion Auxiliary in 1948.  Although Bunny was not able to attend the celebration, members of her family were in attendance.
