Marshall County 4-H Awards Banquet

The 2015 Marshall County 4-H Awards Banquet was held Sunday, October 18 at Melody’s Café in Warren.  Approximately 65 4-H members, adult leaders, family and honored guests were in attendance.
Serving as the Master of Ceremonies was O’Brien Stromsodt of the Cedar 4-H Club.
Awards were presented based on records that had been judged at the county level.  There was also an installation of officers for the new 4-H year.  
Following are the awards that were given at the banquet: Adult Leader Awards - Given in recognition of cumulative years as adult 4-H club leaders. One Year Pin & Certificate: Brian Wurtzel, McCrea; Tracy Hoglin, New Maine. Five Year Pin & Certificate: Deanne Schroeder, McCrea. Twenty Year Pin & Certificate: Michele Staebler, Cedar. Leadership Years - 3rd Year Leaders: Marcie Fischer and Erika Hedlund, New Maine; 4th Year Leader: Pamela Hockstedler, Richard “Ole” Hockstedler, Miki Augustine, Mark Augustine and Emily Bakke, Viking Volcanoes; 7th Year Leaders: Brenda Adamek, Mike Adamek, Ken Fredrickson and Rachel Fredrickson, New Maine; Denise Olson and Philip Olson, McCrea. 9th Year Leaders: Dayna Melvie, Viking Volcanoes; Laurie Stromsodt, Cedar; Kimberly Nelson and Susan Budziszewski, New Maine. 14th Year Leaders: Alice Dahl, New Maine. 22nd Year Leader: Charmine Peters, Viking Volcanoes.

Individual Awards
Alumni Recognition - Kimberly Nelson, New Maine 4-H Club. The award is presented to an adult who has an outstanding record of accomplishment in adult life.  He/She has achieved a high degree of success in his or her chosen field and continued into adult life with the interest in 4-H started during his or her youth.
Outstanding Youth Leader Award - Shelby Wagner, New Maine 4-H Club  Special award given to a youth leader selected as the county’s outstanding youth leader. 
Friend of 4-H Award - Nazareth Lutheran Church, Holt  This award is given in recognition of outstanding support of the Marshall County 4-H Program.
