Greetings from FairyLand! Fosston’s Childrens Show - The Granny Awards!!

We are pleased to share with you the results of our Fosstons Childrens Show- The Granny Awards!! 

This year, Granny (Kendell Moan) has decided to host a special awards show for all fairy tale creatures. This stunning show was brought to you by the Fosston Library Arts Committee, and directed by Abby Faldet. Fairy Tale characters from every story imaginable were present and awarded with a variety of honorable awards.  Our host, Professor (Jake Nelson) did a wonderful job introducing our cast. Snoozy (Kyla Pederson) assisted him in delivering prizes-when she wasn’t taking a nap. But thanks to the Fairy Godmother (Cassidy Manecke) , she found a way to keep Snoozy awake, and the show was saved. We had beautiful solos from a variety of characters. Snow White (Morgan Krier) really stole the show with her angelic voice, and Jack (Abran Brown) kept us a swinging to a great beat. Our commercials were some of the best in the land-full of acrobatics performed by Jack and Jill (Tia Wickham and Kaleb Brown). Speaking of acrobatics, Goldilocks (Kiera Faldet) and the 3 bears (Ava Frank, Aiden Pederson, Amari Ubert) won a well deserved award for best choreography. I am sure we can all agree it was hard to stay seated and not dance along with them! Cinderella (Chloe Landverk) and the evil stepsisters (Elizabeth Grandbois and Kyla Faldet) showed us a moving scene from their award winning fairytale. The 3 pigs (Evie Dryburgh, Laren Sekely, Kinsely Duppong) and Red Riding Hood (Annika Landsverk) performed an award winning rap- just in time to catch that rotten old wolf (Warren Nelson) trying to steal an award. All was well in the end though- when Granny presented Mr. Wolf with his very own special award- Best Villian.  Our show was performed in front of a live audience-and a very full house! Thank you to all who participated, we couldn’t have done it without you!
