477 eye glasses collected by Lions Club

Chris Eck is a member of the Gonvick Lions Club. He took 477 pairs of eye glasses that had been collected at the Leader-Record office in Gonvick and the Clearbrook-Leonard Senior Center and brought these to an area Lions Club meeting in Red Lake Falls.
The glasses are put to good use with the lens' being used for needy people throughout the world, in accordance with local laws.
Chris is a Zone Chairperson  that is the link between the clubs and the District Leadership Team. The Zone Chairperson is a full member of the District Cabinet. They help to develop and grow new members, identify and develop future clubs. 
The Gonvick Club is a member of 5M11. The Lions International District 5M11 has 63 Lions Clubs with 1700 members. 5M11 also has four Lioness Clubs & two Leo Clubs for a total of 69 clubs in Northwestern Minnesota and Southeastern Manitoba.
