Local Library LINK Sites invite youth to experience the power of live theatre with an engaging performance of “Country Mouse & City Mouse: Adventures in the Suburbs,” a performance geared for children ages 3-10. The play will be hosted by Lake Agassiz Regional Library and will be performed by Climb Theatre, which uses the power of live theater to inspire people to build better communities.
“Country Mouse & City Mouse” is a fun take on the beloved tale, witnessing the mouse cousins taking their adventure to more neutral grounds: The Suburbs. Children will love watching the two mice discover how to compromise and celebrate their differences.
The tour is sponsored by Lake Agassiz Regional Library and is offered free-of-charge, thanks in part to funding from the Minnesota Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund. Performances are scheduled at the following local Library LINK Sites:|
Monday, July 8 at 10:00 a.m. at the Frazee LINK Site
Monday, July 8 at 3:00 p.m. at the Hendrum Civic Center
Tuesday, July 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gonvick LINK Site
Wednesday, July 10 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cormorant LINK Site
Wednesday, July 10 at 3:00 p.m. at the Rothsay American Legion City Park
The performances are offered as part of Lake Agassiz Regional Library's outer space-themed Summer Library Experience. More information about the program, which encourages youth to read to win prizes and attend fun programs is available at larl.org/explore.
