Written by  Kari Sundberg, Eagle Editor What should have been nothing but a warm welcome home and new baby snuggles, quickly turned into a scary health battle for both Chelsea Stanley and her new baby Maverick.
 Cindy and Dudley Wishard were named the 2022 Clearwater County Emerging Leaders at the fair last weekend. They are shown with two of their children August and Ellie.
Dudley and Cindy Wishard of Clearbrook are the new Clearwater County Emerging Leaders. They were named at a special meeting at the Peterson Pavilion at the Clearwater County Fair on Friday, August 8.

Two young men met in Grand Rapids. John Gunvalson, a University of MN Crookston student and Paul Imle, a graduate of the University of MN, Twin Cities in plant pathology.
It is that time again for the Gonvick Lions Rodeo. It has been 32 years of rodeo fun in Gonvick on the grounds just off of Highway 92.

Car Show winners at the Gonvick Pumpkin Day and Car Show who took home 100 dollars each. The winners are selected by votes from each car show participant. Winners from last weekend were from left to right: Steve Fjerstad, Fosston; Angie and Gary Coan, Bemidji; Rick Myrum, Pengilly; Randy Ridlon, Solway and not pictured, Owen Shegrud, Bagley who had to go to attend a wedding before the awards were announced.
Five car  show winners received $100 each from the Gonvick Diamond Jubilee Committee during Pumpkin Day in Gonvick. No entry fee was required for the 75 cars that were entered in the show.
