The Grygla Lion’s Club was officially started in 1971, which makes this year the 50th anniversary! When the club first began in the winter of ’71, there were 79 Charter members on the list.

The First Baptist Church in Clearbrook has a new pastor to take care of the parish. Pastor Randy Reimer grew up in Margie, MN; between International Falls and Bemidji. 
American Legion Post 159 members presented the colors at the start of the 2021 Red Lake County Fair.
The Red Lake County Fair this year was much scaled down as compared to past years, but with the restrictions of Covid-19, just starting to loosen up it was difficult to make plans to far ahead.
Teresa Benson will celebrating 20 years as the operator of the Oklee Cafe on July 1st.

The American Legion Post 159 gathered on June 14th, Flag Day, to properly dispose of American flags that have designated not able to be in use. For the a couple of years, except in 2020, the American Legion Post 159 has held a Flag Day ceremony to dispose of Flags that are torn and damaged properly according to the Flag rules of the United States. 
The funeral and burial of Edna Finley was held on May 18th, 2021, at the Northwood Church, located on Moose River Road, north of Grygla. The last funeral held in the church was Ernest Anderson on August 4th, 1958. Photos by Grygla Eagle Newspaper
