School is looking for substitute teachers

The Clearbrook-Gonvick School board met in regular session on Monday, June 17. Ryan Solee took his position on the board for the first time to replace Jill Nelson who resigned.
Principal Josh Tharaldson has been teaching a class and was not able to attend. His report was given by Superintendent Grow.

There is still need for a full time custodian, Technology Specialist, and Junior High Volleyball Coach. They are also in need of substitute teacher for next year. One can call the school if they are interested at 218-776-3112.
The school has received  a grant of $6,000. Clearbrook-Gonvick School was the only school to receive the 2024 Dual Training Grants awarded by the Minnesota Office of Higher Education (OHE). The grant will be used for Chelsey Juberian who is moving from ECSE Instructor to Early Childhood Education Teacher/Program Coordinator.  She will taking special classes at the University of Crookston  to upgrade her credentials.
They are working with Ehlers on the debt service for the district.
The indoor air quality fund has $75,000 left to paid on it.
Service Master was coming in to clean the shop area. The nine man crew will cost the district $17.045. Greg Anderson will be coming in to paint in the area  this month. The shop will be in great shape for the new Technical Education Instructor Kristopher Rue. He will becoming from St. Michael Albertville School District. He is originally from Fosston where he graduated from high school. 
New business
The board approved the internal transfer for Chelsey Juberian for ECFE Instructor to Early Childhood Education Teacher/Program Coordinator at Step 2.
The board made three new hires. Heather Brandt as the new American  Indian Education Coordinator at a two year full time contract for $22.00 per hour. Peyton Dingmann as the Science teacher at BA step 1 at $45,927. He has been worming at the DNR and will take the place of Cathy Dickey. Katerina Schafer as the Art Teacher at BA step  2 $46,907. She had been with the BadgerGreenbush-Middle River School district.
They accepted the resignation of Scott Schafer as assistant Girls Basketball coach and hired him as the Head Girls Basketball Coach for the coming school year.
They accepted the resignation of Tasha Sohler as Full Time Cook as of May 31, 2024 and the Part Time Custodian as of August 26, 2024.
They adopted a Resolution Authorizing the Superintendent as the Identified Official with Authority for Education Identity and Access Management for ISD #2311. That is data collection.
The district hired Russ Bly for the Third Party Driver's Education Services at $30.00 per hour. That includes classroom and driving. That had been taught by Glenn Rettmann for many years.
The board approved the Mass Dispensing Site Agreement with Lisa Syverson and The Clearwater County Nursing Service. That would be used for a health emergency situation.
The board passed the Preliminary 2024-2025 School district Budget shown elsewhere.
Superintendent Grow went over some of the possible increases. There was $24,000 increase in the food budget assistance from the state will have more information in July. 
Costs that are going up for next year include transportation, insurance rates, utilities, parking lots, food costs and payroll.
