The Clearbrook City Council met in regular session one week later because of prior commitments on Monday, July 15.
Darin Halverson, Clearwater County Sheriff attended the meeting. He will be doing quarterly visits with the city councils in the county to have an open dialogue for concerns or problems. He currently has good communication lines with Ryan Solee.
Kevin Prosser spoke with the council about the upcoming all school reunion June 26-29, 2025.
The council approved change order for the sewer pond structure. In poor condition the cement is deteriorating. Needs to be done so it can last many more years.
Police Report – Ryan Absent – 46 incidents in June. They included 911 Hang up 1; Animal Related 2; Assault 2; Assist 2; City Ordinance 1 Court Order Violation 1; Disorderly 1; Disturbance 1; Fire 1; Harassment 2; Information Only 11; Juvenile Misc. 1; Medical 7; Missing/Lost Person 1; Predatory Offender Registration 1; Runaway 1; Suspicious Activity 1; Test 1; Threats 1; Traffic Stop 3; Vehicle Lock Out 1; Warrant - Attempt to Arrest 1; Welfare Check 1.
Fire Report – Adam Krog Clearbrook Fire Chief – 17 calls in June – 13 medical, 1 meeting, 1 work night/training, 1 vehicle accident & 1 structure fire (pool heater)
Liquor Store - Karra Weems, Manager had $5,786.56 profit for June. Discussed bathroom remodel. $50,000 for both men’s & women's rest rooms. Need a new work surface cooler. Currently one has died. Reviewed quotes. Approved spending up to $6,500 to purchase, delivery & installation.
Pool Update – Jessica King stated that need a new vacuum. Approved up to $3,000 for a new vacuum. Looking at some fund raising ideas.
Maintenance update: Looking for someone to take a look at the roof where it is leaking into the police office. Having issues with beavers in the dam. Eric Haman is trapping the beavers.
Discussed & approved Pay Application #2 for the water treatment facility. Pay amount is $500,817.77
Building Permit 2024-05 – Doug & Nikole Moe approved.
Approved donations - $5,000 from the Clearbrook Community Club to Youth Activities including Summerfest and Clearbrook Community Club to the City for the Clearbrook-Gonvick Senior banners . Also a $200 donations from Holst Township to the Clearbrook-Gonvick summer Rec Activities.
Approved monthly claims of $65,040.91 & additional claims of $278,706.56
